Hello 5:30 AM, I hate you!

...or do I love you?

Honestly, I was shaking in my boots this morning when I walked into the hospital.

Once I met my CI, I calmed down a bit.

He is calm, cool, and funny.

This just might work.

After we took report from the night shift nurses, we had a little break.

I rushed to get coffee.

...and so begins an addiction I have put off for years

coffee?

do I really need you?

Maybe.

The problem wasn't getting to sleep, it was staying asleep.

I drifted off to sleep around 9:30 last night and then woke up at midnight...and then could not fall back asleep.

I did have my boyfriend to entertain me on the phone for a bit...along with 2 episodes of Will and Grace...and some Frosted Flakes.

Then I had the idea of listening to This American Life while I fell asleep.

It just so happens that this week's podcast was about some nurse getting sued for "harassment" for reporting a doctor to the Texas Medical Board for malpractice. 

This got my blood boiling...I could not sleep.

I fell back to sleep around 4:30 and my alarm clock woke me up an hour later =(

I did make it through the day...and I had a lot of fun and learned a lot!

My 12 hour day has come and gone.

Bring on tomorrow!
