Movies and dinners

My dogs were happy of my return on Monday.

On Tuesday, we had originally planned on seeing a movie. We got the times messed up and decided to go ahead and go shopping to find me a dress for my friend's rehearsal dinner next week. We drove to Southlake, which is a 40 minute drive. I found two dresses I really like and one was on sale. I got both!

We went to lunch at Which Which (my new obsession) where we heard the terrible news of the 5.8 earthquake that hit VA. Some of my fellow students in NC felt the aftershocks in Durham. Irene (hurricane) is heading for NC at this moment. There is just too much happening on the East Coast while I am away. 

Tuesday evening I went to dinner with Lindsay. I had a great time. There is nothing that can compare to good conversation and laughter with old friends. 

Today we made it to the movie (on time. har har). We saw One Day.

It is based on the book and I found it to be a very interesting concept. 

There was a "shocker" towards the end and I almost hit the ground. 

There is a lot of wit which causes some laughs...but I also cried =(

We went to lunch at Piranha Killer Sushi after the movie.

Around 5 we picked up my grandmother and headed to Ft. Worth for dinner with my mom's side of the family. We saw a fire on the way.

We had dinner at Joe T. Garcia's (a local favorite!). 

We were celebrating my Uncle's birthday and "sending off" my cousin (he is moving to Los Angeles).

Clouds gathered over us while we were leaving. It looked like it was going to rain so when I saw what you see in the pic below, I thought it was rain ahead.

Turns out it was just a lot of dust.

The clouds did make for some pretty pics.

Tomorrow I head back to Houston.

I did get my syllabus for my Peds class on Monday. I filled in my iCal to get a jump start on my organization. I keep checking to see if they have put up our other courses yet...no such luck =/
