This morning on our walk we headed to a park I had never been to before. It had many flowers, trees, statues, a gazebo, and a cute little playground.

I forgot to mention the park was along the Danube River
A little waterfall fountain
a flower clock
After the walk we had breakfast. I believe we had scrambled eggs and bacon =)
The third day in the clinic then began!
Here is Dr. Tom with his team and translators.

The first team
After we were done working for the day, we headed out behind the clinic. They had invited the boys from the shelter to play soccer and eat pizza.
In Romania, after the age of 18, kids are kicked out of the orphanages. They have nowhere to go but the shelters. They are very energetic and love getting to play soccer.
Here we are gathered in a pic with the young man in the background
They LOVE getting their pictures taken
After a couple of hours of the boys playing soccer, it was time to go in. We ran out of pizza to eat for dinner, so I was trying to figure out a way to eat. While I was doing this, I got a call from Teodora telling me she was outside the gate of the clinic.
She had come to visit me since she was not working in the clinic this year =)
I ran down and gave her a big hug.
I got to meet her fiance too
Teo and Allister
While Teo and I were sitting in her car chatting...Kerri, Merri, Tamara, Basil, and Serban were walking out of the gate. They said they were going to go out and get food. Teo, Allister, and I jumped on board.
We walked to a pizza place and it was delicious!!
I ordered cheese and pepperoni. My Romanian friends thought I was really weird for just ordering these two toppings. Call me American...whatever =P
Teo showing off how stringy the cheese is
Merri and Basil enjoying their pizza
Basil did try a piece of my pizza...he said it was "interesting" haha
Me and Kerri
Call me crazy, but this was one of those Kodak moments of the trip.
There is nothing more simple and wonderful than having dinner with friends. Just enjoying each other's company and eating good food. It is so simple, but holds so much meaning.
Great night
We got back to the clinic pretty late, but it was worth it
