Moving Day #2

I'm a Duke girl, but this song warms my heart.

I'm a broken record, but it was another early day.
My Mom has caught so many pretty sunrises. I'm more of a sunset person...mainly because I'm usually not up to see the sun rise.

It's amazing what you can see from a hotel window.

The first thing on the list today was a Target run.
This is only the grocery cart (1 of 4). Yes, we filled 4 carts worth of stuff at Target.

With tons of groceries comes a lot of unloading. blerg.

Right in the middle of breakdown #3, it began to snow.
I believe God works in mysterious ways. He sent this down from above to cheer me up.
It worked!

Alley has been clinging to the back of the washer and dryer since we moved her to the townhome.

It was time for lunch:

I originally picked these both out to go in my bedroom.
I liked the white one on the mantel so much it's still there in that spot.

Kitchen lights

One of my main objectives today was to get my desk assembled before the cable guy came to install the internet.
Um, that didn't happen.
I hate assembly instructions with a passion.

This was about as far as we got before the cable guy arrived.
It is still like this right now.
We may finish it tomorrow.

We got our first fire going and placed some art work.

The sun set amongst the trees.

The art work came out of it's packaging.
It's coming together slowly.

Pretty close after the cable guy left, the furniture people arrived.
They had a heck of a time getting my box springs to fit up the stairs. It was a tight squeeze between the floor and the ceiling above. They were giving up quick, but my Mom wouldn't let them. It eventually did fit, but there are some scuff marks and some bent blinds left in it's path.
Oh well, I'm just glad I have a bed now.

After that ordeal, my Mom put my headboard on my bed frame.

We made the bed.

I just need to decorate now.

Trin, Chels, Angela, Lexi, and Lindsay all made it safely on to the fridge.

I had a skype date with my boyfriend =)

On to a completely random topic:

I am a big fan of the Castro family's music.
Jackie just came out with a single that really hit home for me.
The words express exactly how I feel about my trips to Romania.
She is selling her single on iTunes to help support her trip back to Ghana this summer.
