After staying up way too late with this nut, I had to crawl out of bed this morning to get to class.
yearbook pose
Day 6 of nursing school was in full swing.
Today's lecture: thorax and breasts!
wooh
Between lecture and lab, I had once again planned on a nap.
I failed once again.
I had to be back up at school an hour before lab to get fitted for our uniforms. aka: scrubs
I picked some out and placed my order.
We should be getting them in about 4 weeks.
We(the majority) are a day behind on our checkoffs.
Today's checkoff was on the eyes, ears, nose, and throat.
A new CI (Clinical Instructor) was in our lab today.
She checked me and my partner off.
I really enjoyed having her. She was really personable and had a lot to say.
I found this a little distracting, but I figured it was a chance to practice for the real world.
I'm almost 100% positive that I will have chatty patients at some point.
But really, I enjoyed the conversation the three of us had.
Mr. Sim
I got a chance to talk after class with my new lab partner.
We walked to our cars together and then I offered to give her a ride back to the nursing building (she needed to meet someone).
I decided to go grocery shopping.
I'm running on fumes at this point, but I know I won't want to go out tomorrow if I'm in the middle of studying.
I'm proud that I stuck to my list and was out of there in 20 minutes flat.
Not bad for a first timer? eh?
Plus, I needed to store up on some veggies.
Dinner: round #1
After a hot shower, slipping on some flannel pjs and slippers, I began to make one of my favorites!!!
I'll share.
Grab some squash and zucchini.
Be sure to rinse them.
You'll also need some PAM, parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs.
Set the oven for 475 degrees.
Slice longitudinally.
and then horizontally
I underestimated my cutting board size =/
Line a pan with non-stick foil.
You'll thank me later.
Get a ziplock baggie that is the right size to fit all of the chopped up bits. (Don't pour them in yet)
Add two tablespoons of parmesan cheese to the baggie.
and 1/3 cup of bread crumbs.
I usually use this much for 2 zucch/squash, but this time I had 3.....so I used just a pinch more bread crumbs.
Add some seasoning to the bag.
I use a seasoned salt/salt mix.
Spray pam on the chopped bits.
Just enough to moisten all the sides.
Pour the bits into the bag and shake shake shake!
Spread them out on the pan and cook for 20 minutes on the top shelf.
Enjoy!
While I had dinner, I enjoyed facechatting with the parents tonight.
Time for another relaxing night...followed by a morning of sleeping in!
